Laura has over 17 years’ experience working in the field of conflict resolution and is an Accredited Mediator, Professional Practice Consultant, Trainer and Restorative Justice Facilitator. She has run a local authority mediation service which provided mediation in a number of fields, including neighbour disputes, homelessness, workplace, commercial, family and community conference cases; in addition, Restorative Justice cases. This involved an annual caseload of 250 plus referrals, management of the mediation team (including over 40 volunteers) and design and delivery of their comprehensive training portfolio.

College of Mediators Approved Mediator, College of Mediators Professional Practice Consultant, Civil Mediation Council Registered Mediator, SEND Accredited Mediator, Conflict Coach, Restorative Justice Facilitator, Trainer Partner – Solution Talk LLP. Since the formation of Solution Talk (following the closure of Manchester City Council Community Mediation Service in 2016) Laura has continued to deliver community mediation through contracts with various local authorities and social housing providers. Laura provides ongoing training and supervision to over 20 volunteers mediators who deliver community mediation on behalf of Solution Talk in the North West of England. Laura has developed a number of workshops – including a range of Communication & Conflict Management workshops. She also developed a Conflict Coaching workshop, Transforming Family Conflict Workshop and many other short 1 / 2 hour workshops developing specific areas of mediation practice. In addition to her work above she has a number of voluntary positions. She has been actively involved with the North West Mediation Network since it’s commencement in 2011 and now co-ordinates all the network days. She is also a board member of the Midlands Mediation Network and was appointed as a Director to the Board of the College of Mediators in October 2015.More recently she has been co-ordinating the North East Mediation Network.
